TEC Editors must have several years’ editing experience, good time management skills, familiarity with search engine optimization (SEO), and experience using task and content management systems.

- conducting developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading on a range of B2B digital content, including blog posts, reports, web pages, and slide decks
- writing short summaries on white papers, brochures, and case studies
- performing search engine optimization (SEO) activities in step with our SEO team’s guidelines
- using TEC’s content management system to organize and publish content
- validating authors’ outlines for new blog posts based on topic research, SEO findings, and webpage design considerations
- helping develop writers’ skills and approaches to TEC content through concrete feedback
- liaising with the development team regarding changes to tools or processes for publishing
- working with the marketing team on content for time-sensitive initiatives (promotions, webinars, etc.)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in editing B2B website content and helping to organize content initiatives
- knowledge of current best practices in content management and content marketing
- intermediate SEO knowledge
- proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word
- experience using task and content management systems; ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate with developers for optimal publication processes and results
- basic HTML knowledge
- strong time and project management skills
- excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- an exceptional eye for detail for rapid copyediting

- knowledge of the enterprise software market and technology trends
- experience following the Chicago Manual of Style
- copywriting skills
- knowledge of Jira and/or Kentico
