Job description
We're looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals to join our 2023 Graduate Programme as part of a fast-track journey to becoming a qualified Financial Adviser with us.
Through our rounded programme you will complete three 8-month rotations to give you a full insight into our Wealth Management operations. Your rotations will be in Business Development, Paraplanning and Advisory (Wealth or Mortgage & Protection). Each team you join will provide you with invaluable experience in preparation for your longer-term career in wealth management.
By the end of the scheme, you will have been part of 3 distinct teams and will have developed a rounded understanding of the different technologies, people and products that will support your accelerated future career.
Business Development
In this rotation you will develop key relationship and client servicing skills by identifying and securing new long-term business partnerships as well as reaching out to individuals to promote how we can help with their financial planning:
- Generating new business through LinkedIn, networking events and client events
- Managing relationships with customers and partners to build continued business success
- Converting inbound leads into business
- Promoting company event
Paraplanning
Working in collaboration with the Advisors and other colleagues, you will will carry out key paraplanning tasks – e.g.. writing Suitability Letters in line with company policy to ensure cases are progressed within agreed timeframes and targets. The role will build your technical knowledge and will require you to comply with the FCA compliance rules on financial advice services.
Financial Advisory
A Financial Consultant will be expected to build long term relationships with clients and ensure that the clients’ interests are a priority. In this final rotation you will complete your formal industry qualifications, whilst working alongside experienced Financial Advisors to build a clear understanding of how to effectively build long-standing client relationships. As you complete your formal qualifications; you will gain an understanding of the back-office workings within the Practice as well as get involved in team Projects to review and reflect on improve efficiencies in our ways of working.
- Help clients achieve financial security and provide peace of mind by delivering a professional financial planning service
- Build and maintain ongoing relationships with clients, prospects and professional introducers
- Provide suitable advice which is in the best interest of its clients and follow procedures and processes

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- A good undergraduate degree.
- Highly motivated, driven and commercial
- Experience working within financial services is preferable but not essential
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders and reporting requirements
- Ability to use initiative to problem solve
- Adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment
- Committed to advocating and encouraging an inclusive and diverse team culture
- Ability to promote an open and considerate culture
- IT proficient including Office365
OFFICE LOCATION
We are working on a hybrid model of office/home working.
Benefit Package
- A salary of £28,000.00 in your first year and £30,000.00 in your second year.
- Bonus of up to 10%

Selection Process
Stage One
The first step is to fill out the relevant job application on our website. This will ask candidates about their educational achievements and work experience.
Stage Two
During the second stage candidates will be asked to complete an online psychometric assessment that will assess candidates’ potential to be successful at MWM.
Stage Three
Candidates will be invited to an online video assessment. This is so we can get to know candidates better and if they will be the right fit for MWM. They will have five days to complete the video interview and have plenty of time to practice. We look for authentic and natural responses.
Stage Four
During the fourth stage candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day with other prospective candidates. This will include an introduction to MWM followed by an interview process with our managers and leadership team. Finally, candidates will complete situational assessments and live roleplays to test your problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team.
