JiffyHub is a small, intimate company involved with order fulfillment (3rd party logistics) as well as managing our own eBay/Amazon shop. We are looking to grow our order fulfillment business and are looking for someone to join us on this demanding but hopefully fulfilling endeavour. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations and Managing Director and the warehouse operative/s, and they will also be exposed to an eCommerce environment, getting some insights into what it takes to run a small logistics and ecommerce business.
The position of ECOMMERCE FULFILMENT AND WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT is a mixture of administrative, operational and customer service related tasks. This will involve, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting on a daily basis, supporting the operations operative/s by liaising with them to help resolve order issues and maximise potential sale opportunities
- Pick and pack orders
- Various ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Managing Director and Senior Operations Manager
- Count and inspect orders and goods
- Be involved in stock control and management. This will include lifting and carrying goods from storage areas to the store and stocking shelves.
- Report discrepancies and problems to the supervisor.
- Discuss new initiatives
- Deal with faulty goods
- Deal with customer complaints.
- Work within established guidelines.
- Work with Warehouse Operative/s to receive and store the delivery of stock
- Keep the workplace tidy and clean; this includes but is not limited to keeping the walkways clear, emptying bins at the end of each day and dusting.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy
- Help to Optimize the warehouse space and assign logical locations for slow and fast moving stock. Identify Slow moving or stagnant stock and relocate to more applicable locations.
