Until September 2017, Forsa Energy was known as Velocita Energy Developments and 2020 Renewables. As Velocita Energy Developments and 2020 Renewables, we built a successful renewables business in the UK and France. This included a combined development portfolio of over 1.4GW, and we successfully financed and constructed around 230MW of wind projects. Following the successful sale of its GB operating business and French interests, the company took the strategic decision to broaden its technology base beyond onshore wind. Our current focus, the gas generation business, was set up in mid-2017 to exploit the growing market demand for reliable, flexible generation capacity. The business plan is to develop a portfolio of 400-600MW reserve gas generation projects using reciprocating engine technology over the next 24-36 months. The team has successfully developed, financed, and built seven operational sites totalling 190MW. We have 80 MW currently in construction and a further 180MW which has won capacity market s in the annual auctions and is in late-stage development.
