Orri is an ambitious, young fast-growing company committed to changing the way we treat eating disorders in the UK. As an Eating Disorders Associate (EDA), you will be an essential part of the Orri team. Your role is vital in supporting clients throughout their therapeutic day and this support can take on many forms; it may be supporting a group by facilitating mealtimes and processing, or on a 1:1 level helping clients struggling with meals. You will also support clients with therapeutic elements of their day, such as weekend planning, reviews, interactions between clients and their multi-Disciplinary team, as well as processing with those who may be distressed or those needing to ground.
This position is offered at 25 hours per week – Monday to Friday (either working 8.15am to 1.45pm or 1.30pm to 5.30pm). The salary advertised is the FTE and will be pro rata for the hours.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To observe, monitor and record Client’s presentation throughout day communicating information in timely manner to MDT
- Weighing clients online
- To work under the direction and in association with Psychologists, Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Psychotherapists and RMN
- To follow MDT directed bespoke care plans
- To work within the multidisciplinary team to ensure Orri provides a safe, effective and caring service that is responsive to people’s needs.
- To develop and maintain effective working alliances with patients and their families
- To communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner.
- To form professional relationships with members of the MDT and work alongside other professionals to deliver boundaried interventions to clients and families
- To receive regular clinical professional supervision and reflective practice
- To respond to the health promotion needs of clients
- Developing new ideas to improve client care and service delivery.
- Assist with audit of client/carer satisfaction with the service.
- To demonstrate ongoing personal development through participation in internal and external development opportunities
- Be flexible and adaptable, well organised and able to manage time and workload effectively in line with the needs of the service
- Assist MDT with Day-to-day organisation and running of the service
- To participate in the team Personal Development 360 Review process as appraisee.
- To operate within Orri policies, guidelines and protocols and current Health and Safety at Work Legislation.
- To be able prepare and conduct presentations
- Have a legal right to work in the UK
- Assist case managers to support clients
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Educated to degree level
- An interest in eating disorders and passionate about creating and working in an innovative specialist service
- Excellent verbal, written and body language skills.
- An interest in Research and Academia
- A desire to work in an organisational culture of collaboration, ownership and shared ideas
- Excellent IT Skills
In addition, any ad hoc requirements required within the postholders skill set to support Orri UK may be required.
