Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Fitter/Engineer to carry out the below on various equipment which includes but is not limited to: Finlay, Evoquip, Ecotec products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Service and repairs ensuring works completed in the most cost-effective way.
- Work within company structure and company procedures.
- Will be required to do such work as (but limited too) liner changes and mesh changes, servicing engines and hydraulics.
- Preparation work for sale as per agreed customer specification.
- Pre-delivery inspections of new equipment before it goes to site.
- Post inspections of any machines coming into the workshop.
- Prepare machines for rental contracts.
- Clear and detailed reporting of work carried out and repairs necessary on engineer iPad.
- Maintain and demonstrate a high standard of H&S.
- Ensure all equipment is replaced/prepared to the highest standard.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Excellent communication with staff and customers.
- Workshop based but may be asked to attend as a 2nd man on sites with the Mobile Fitter/Engineer (covering all of Scotland).
Work experience requirements:
- Strong background in Plant industry essential.
- Experience in Crushing and Screening is preferred but not essential.
- NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
- CSCS card holder is preferred.
- Experience of diagnostic tools and computer software including engine diagnostics.
- MIG welding experience preferred.
- Ability to thrive and succeed in a busy, ever-changing environment.
- Excellent level of attention to detail and conscientiousness.
Education Requirements:
- Good general level of education including English, Maths and IT.
