Who we are:

Hatchlings London is an Early Childhood Intervention company, currently based in central London & surrounds. We provide high quality, holistic and evidence-based behavioural services to children between the ages of one and 10 years, alongside their families and education providers.

We believe strongly in naturalistic developmental behavioural interventions (NDBI's) and have created our model around the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). We work very closely with an exceptional network of independent developmental paediatricians, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, dieticians and psychologists. We pride ourselves in our ability to stay on top of the latest developments in behaviour and developmental science, whilst respecting the integrity of the child and their family.

Role:

As an early intervention practitioner you will work with children ages 18 months - 4 years in central London and surrounds (Zones 1-4). You will be required to travel to clients' houses and nurseries in and around London to provide 1:1 support with the child and coaching to caregivers and teachers. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team that include teachers, SENCo's, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Educational Consultants and Behaviour Analysts. You will develop goals based on baseline assessment and in collaboration with the parent/caregiver. The role involves receiving direct supervision from a Director at hatchlings in understanding the Hatchlings model and our philosophy to early intervention and childhood development. You will also be fully immersed in a team environment with weekly meetings and termly training days with the opportunity to learn and grow your professional skill set.

This role is best suited for a BCBA, ABA supervisor or professional with experience working within homes and schools who have a strong interest in parent coaching, naturalistic behavioural interventions and providing community wide support.

Skills & requirements:

  • Can manage a caseload of up to 8 clients a week (18-20 direct contact hours a week)
  • Create measurable and achievable goals in line with family, school and Hatchlings London framework.
  • Use a Hatchlings created tracking database to track goals and progress.
  • You are able to deliver high quality advice, coaching, and mentoring to families and professionals.
  • Can create supportive environments for children that will use the least restrictive interventions.
  • Have an understanding of evidence-based naturalistic behavioural interventions (NDBIs) including Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), JASPER, Behavioural Skills Training and The Hanen Centre.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment where you will be managing your own time and workload, with the support of a supervisor.
  • You are flexible, driven and practice ethically within your scope of practice
  • Respond to queries and questions in a timely and empathetic manner.

Must haves:

  • A minimum of Masters degree in psychology, childhood development, teaching or similar discipline.
  • Comfortable traveling around London using a bus or the tube. All costs reimbursed.
  • 3 + years of previous experience of ABA, either from working in home programmes or another ABA setting.
  • 1+ year of experience as a supervisor.

Mindset:

  • You must be passionate about supporting families and children.
  • You practice with openness, honesty and sensitivity to families.
  • You should have a positive attitude towards technology and be confident in using technology in your daily practice
  • You get excited about solving problems and enjoy being at the forefront of change in early childhood development, behaviour and teaching.
  • You are a team player and enjoy being part of a close knit and welcoming team.

We can offer you:

  • Membership of employer contribution pension fund.
  • 6-weeks annual leave per year, plus 8 Bank Holiday days
  • No weekend work
  • Visa sponsorship
  • We are a remote company, but have an office space to use throughout the week.
  • We operate on a roughly term-time basis (12-week cycles with two week shut down periods in between).
  • Excellent induction, training and professional development programme including money towards a training course yearly (upon completing 6 months at Hatchlings).
  • Enhanced DBS cost covered.
  • Starting on 4 days a week, with a gradual move after induction to full time. This is not a remote role.
  • A collaborative team environment with weekly meetings and optional monthly socials.
  • Money towards BCBA supervision for those pursuing this.

As a small business this is an exciting opportunity with a lot of freedom to grow within the role based on your own experience and skill set. We fully support helping consultants develop their future goals and aspirations. We also deliver LEGO-based Therapy training, webinar series, nursery/school training and online parent coaching.
