Role Overview:

Reporting to the JoJo E-commerce Manager and working with the Next e-commerce trading manager this executive role is responsible for planning and execution of content and email activity to deliver the trading and merchandising priorities of the JoJo websites. This is a pivotal role that will ensure JoJo content, product trade marketing pushes, and branded content messages are effectively rolled out to the customer and email customer database.

Working with the Next team to ensure that the customer is engaged with content & messaging all the way through key trading phases such as New Season launches, product launches & focuses, Sale & Multi-buy promos, and seasonal calendar moments such as JoJo shopping events, and Christmas. To achieve forecasted sales and profit margins across our UK and international websites and the JoJo App.

What we expect from you:

You will be responsible for:
  • Planning and scheduling content to brief the Next team site updates in accordance with the commercial digital e-commerce trading calendar, seasonal promotions, and product trade priorities.
  • Work with Next to ensure products are merchandised to maximize sales potential.
  • Review analysis provided by Next on web trading performance on a weekly and monthly basis and support the necessary trading actions in line with delivering against key business commercials of the merchandising function.
  • Work with JoJo marketing and content writers, the Next team, and the e-commerce manager to ensure content on the website maximises all aspects and performance as required.
  • Work with the E-commerce Manager, and Next team to suggest trading content for the homepage and storefront page, and support secondary and tertiary product touchpoints on the site, such as our top picks and navigation missions, along with providing direct product links to featured products and understand performance when launched.
  • Communicate with Next and the wider e-commerce team about stock availability and areas that need promoting.
  • With Next produce post-campaign analysis for all key launches, promotions, and trading periods
  • Feed Next line-flow of products and recommend to Next new product categories.
  • Look into products that are not live on the website and their cause.
  • Confirm descriptions, attributions, and imagery are available for Next.
  • Planning the email programme of 2 trading emails per week for the UK to reflect the marketing calendar, product trade priorities, and other business objectives.
  • Understand email programs for both online and store customers to maximise subscribers.
  • Ensuring email templates are briefed to Next to agreed timescales.
  • Working closely with the Next email specialist to identify new opportunities to profile and segment our customer database and implement campaigns to improve retention & conversion rates and positive customer journey.
  • Co-ordinating with buying, graphics, and product set-up teams to ensure products are added to the website on schedule.

And you will be accountable for:
  • With Next ensuring that the site is correctly merchandised and reflects the marketing calendar.
  • Ensuring that key deadlines are achieved, and work is correctly prioritized.
  • Accuracy in all aspects of the role but particularly with reporting and analysis
  • With the Next team, improving, performance metrics, conversion, and retention rates, and achieving database growth.
  • Completing email templates both BAU and Triggered for execution by the Next team.
  • Facilitating briefing and content workflow process to provide digital content to the Next team.
  • Supporting In-app notifications planning and execution by Next.
