E-Commerce and Digital Marketing Specialist
Role Overview: Start Traffic Ltd t/a Start Safety is seeking a skilled and experienced E-Commerce and Digital Marketing Specialist to play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our rapidly growing safety product website. As an integral part of our team, you'll contribute your expertise while fostering innovation and fresh perspectives.
About Start Traffic Ltd: we are a UK focused retailer of safety equipment with a burgeoning product catalogue that reaches customers worldwide. Our ideal candidate is someone familiar with e-commerce platforms, possesses strong IT skills, and is ready to make a meaningful impact.
Primary Responsibilities: your role will encompass various tasks that are vital to our operations. The tasks are listed in order of priority, reflecting the key areas of focus:
- Adding new product listings to our website.
- Maintaining and expanding our existing website product ranges and catalogue.
- Ensuring new products are accurately entered into our ERP system.
- Collaborating with suppliers to enrich product offerings and knowledge.
- Crafting SEO-optimized product content for our website and other platforms.
- Implementing and enhancing SEO best practices.
- Conducting product photography and editing imagery for optimal presentation.
- Creating and refining graphics for engaging website promotional banners.
- Develop comprehensive best practice guides and cheat sheets for team members.
- Providing valuable feedback and insights to improve UI and UX.
- Contributing to IT infrastructure support.
- Engaging in social media posting to enhance our online presence.
- Expanding and maintaining product catalogues on eBay and Amazon stores.
Desired Skills and Qualifications: the ideal candidate possesses a blend of skills and qualities that contribute to our success:
- Proficiency in image editing software, preferably Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, PHTML, CSS, and jQuery.
- Advanced Excel proficiency for streamlined data management.
- Familiarity with e-commerce best practices in both B2C and B2B contexts.
- Thorough understanding of SEO best practices for heightened visibility.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, OpenCart, or Magento 2.
- AdWords and paid marketing expertise for strategic campaigns.
- Strong mathematical and writing skills, complemented by marketing insight.
- Attention to detail and an eye for design (design skills are a bonus).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Interest in photography, product photography, and video production.
- Enthusiasm for "practical" hobbies that aid in comprehending technical products.
