Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday- Friday Day shifts
Location: Reading - RG2 0BS
DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Drivers assistant to play a vital role in our daily distribution requirements. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures, with a committed attitude to Continuous Improvement, ultimately ensuring that all order deliveries are handled safely and in a timely manner.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices plus a high level of customer service, you will
- Undertake the manual handling, distribution and coordination of timely multidrop deliveries to a strict schedule and deadline.
- Ensure the loading and unloading of specified stock to an assigned vehicle is coordinated in a timely manner, whilst accompanying a driver within your designated geographical area
- Working alongside alcohol
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Previous practical experience as a Drivers Mate, within a logistics or similar environment is desirable
- Hardworking
- Comfortable working with alcohol
A recognized qualification in Manual Handling or Logistics will be well received.
