We have an opportunity for a Driver/Porter to join their team of staff in the Theatre department.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. Part time hours are also available. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern between Monday and Saturday until 6.30pm with occasional Sunday
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Valid driving license for the UK with a clean driving record. Every employee driving on behalf of the business must submit their driving license on an annual basis for a DVLA check. Drivers must hold a clean B license to operate vans up to and including 3.5t.
- General qualifications required are a willingness to learn/develop and be flexible at all times
- The ability to undertake lifting duties as required
- Experience of using a tail lift and driving long wheel based vans
- Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
- Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
- Front line customer facing experience
- Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting preferred
Duties of this role include:
- Driver (age 25 and over) and instrument assistant to work alongside the instrument coordinator at St Edmunds.
- Driving to decontam unit when required, assisting and managing the collection and incoming deliveries of theatre kit, assisting with theatre kit inventory and control.
- Full training will be provided
