Role requirements
As a Community Care Worker you’ll have an ability to provide care delivered with compassion and enthusiasm, while contributing positively to an individual’s physical and emotional wellbeing. You’ll need:
- At least 3 months experience of caring professionally or for a loved one in the UK
- The ability to comfortably assist clients with limited mobility
- A valid Moving and Handling certificate
- The right to work in the UK
- Driver is essential as he will need to be transported to college 3 days a week.
You could make a difference to an individual's life
As part of this role, you will be supporting a 18 year old male wheelchair bound with sight impairment. Our service user likes to go for days out in the coast and cafes with the desire to eventually go to music festivals.
You will provide support for transfers and moving and handling on a 2:1 basis.
Shifts for this role vary. These will be from 8am to 4pm on non college days and from 6:30am to 10:30am and then from 2pm to 6pm on college days.
