An exciting opportunity to work within an expanding team of digital nurses and midwives, based within Digital & Information Services leading and influencing Nottingham University Hospital’s (NUH) digital agenda.
We are looking for a passionate clinician to play a pivotal role in supporting and implementing the digital agenda across NUH, particularly focussing on the use of Nervecentre as we move forward on our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme over the next 3 years. With a strong focus on quality and improvement, you will provide innovative solutions and supportive leadership to clinicians promoting the use of Nervecentre and other digital solutions to influence a change in culture from paper documentation to a digital alternative. This role will include education & support for all clinicians involved with patient documentation and will predominantly involve supporting staff in the clinical environment.
As part of the digital clinical team your role will be fundamental in developing and maintaining relationships across & within divisions to ensure engagement of clinicians across all disciplines on this challenging journey. This role requires a well-respected, credible, responsive and influential clinician educated to degree level, you should have a proven track record in change management and the ability to create a service improvement environment which fosters care and compassion.
To lead on & support the implementation of the digital agenda across NUH. The digital roadmap is a very ambitious programme with a tight timeframe and will therefore require someone with experience of working within a clinical setting, an understanding of digital technologies and clinical knowledge to ensure we deploy excellent clinical systems.
The role will involve leading change within the clinical environment, supporting and education clinicians in the use of new technologies, understanding project management principles (Prince 2) and the ability to lead, support and direct staff on this exciting journey from paper to digital.
The digital clinical team is made up of nurses & midwives who are involved in all aspects of the implementation and deployment of digital projects that have a clinical element. The team is at the centre of this exciting transformation from paper documentation to a digital alternative.
The role requires a self motivated individual that can manage their own workload, while supporting other members of the team.
The post will require hybrid working and flexibility, with occasional shift working and the ability to work across both campus's.

The post holder will play a key role in the implementation of the whole hospital Electronic Patient Record (ERP) programme of work. The post holder will play a pivotal role in leading the potential digitalisation of nursing/medical/AHP documentation using a variety of software systems. This role will be integral to the success of Digitising Health Records and will support the Digital Matron in enabling staff to develop and improve patient information, systems and processes across clinical services within the Trust.
The post holder will facilitate and monitor progress of the programmes of work and provide
practical support to the clinical teams to take forward service improvement and new ways of
working. The post holder will also work with the senior clinical team to ensure alignment of
goals and priorities to achieve the overall project plan. Working collaboratively with Digital Services
and Supplier Deployment Teams to deliver new systems to support NUH clinical staff
including mobile technologies.’
The post holder will work closely with staff at NUH to deliver the digital agenda replacing paper documents for digital alternatives. Promoting innovative, effective and lasting solutions to complex information requirements. Improving patient safety, quality and patient experience is an explicit priority rather than an assumption and needs to underpin all elements of initiatives undertaken.
The post holder will be expected to work across both campuses and will incorporate the flexibility of on site working and working fron home as required.
