The Driver Team Leader teams up with our drivers to drive our business forward. The Driver Team Leader focuses on communicating expectations to ensure successful execution of assigned tasks. The Driver Team Leader manages a team of drivers in all aspects of safe, on-time delivery. The Driver Team Leader is responsible for planning, directing and monitoring the Fleet drivers. The position requires: strong planning, organizational, time management, customer service, and decision making skills.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Assigns fleet of approximately 100 drivers, including, but not limited to effective management for optimum performance in the following categories: On-time pickup and delivery performance, off route miles, hours of service compliance, driver availability and cost control.
- Provides leadership to and engages assigned associates to achieve safety goals and objectives.
- Performs quarterly performance reviews with drivers; coaching on but not limited to delivery performance, safety and other driver related KPI’s.
- Supports new driver onboarding process through, scheduling, driver training in collaboration with the Driver Trainers.
- Manages labour per established operating standards (Shift bids, Scheduling including vacations and sick days, general meetings etc.
- Interacts with store leadership teams to solve and rectify delivery issues and improve service.
- Maintains a CLOS rate that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Partners with 3PL FSL providers to ensure compliance with safety standards. Minimizes OOS.
- Ensures all reasonable actions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries working closely with Walmart Compliance & Safety teams.
