People Solutions are looking for a Class 1 Drivers on a temp to perm basis.

Our client operate 24/7 so various start times available.

Day to Day Duties:

• The Role involves Class 1 trucking around the UK from depot to depot and you may also be asked to complete collections.
• Reporting to the transport manager to discuss run for the day. Making sure the relevant checks are done on the truck prior to starting the day.
• Ensure the paperwork is signed by the relevant people when delivering or collecting the goods. Making sure the cab is kept in a tidy fashion at the end of the shift.
• Required to help load your Vehicle and ensure the paperwork is correct

Shift Times:

• Monday – Friday start time between 5am – 5:30am dependant on route - Finish time is until job finish – around 4pm - Average 11 hour shift – minimum 8 hours paid
• Saturday start time between 5am – 5:30am – Finish around 9am – 9:30am

Essential Skills:

• Although the role may involve a little handball communication is key as you will need to communicate effectively with the client.
• Must have good customer service skills. Must have a driver CPC, DQC Card and Digi Tacho card. No more than 6 Points for minor endorsements

Desirable Experience:

• Minimum of 1 years experience needed on Class 1.

Knowledge of the UK road network.
