Brief Description Minimum 3 years’ experience of Hiab (lorry-mounted crane); & Hook-lift / Rolonof vehicle operation. Must hold valid, industry-recognised, (such-as A.L.L.M.I [Association of Lorry-Loader Manufacturers & Installers]); competence, & accompanying physical ticket / card. Valid Digital Tachograph Card. Valid DQC, (Driver Qualification Card); to demonstrate they have a valid driver’s CPC, (Certificate of Professional Competence). Valid, full, clean driving licence for class C goods vehicles. (Multi-axle rigids up to 32t g.v.w). About the role (External) Duties and Responsibilities Carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures, method statements or other instructions. Drive a variety of vehicles for which the driver is certified and licensed to operate. Carry out the loading and unloading of plant and/or materials from vehicles as required observing all Health & Safety requirements associated with the use of mechanised lifting equipment including HIAB and Forklift Trucks. Check that all vehicle loads comply with the requirements of road traffic legislation and the defined operating limits of the vehicle. Carry out mandatory daily vehicle checks as required and report all defects in a timely manner in accordance with company procedures and instructions. Maintain the vehicle so that it remains safe and clean for use. Complete all vehicle paperwork and maintain records as required. Complete and return paperwork as required when delivering plant and/or materials to end users. Contribute to your own development and that of others. Experience, skills, knowledge and competencies: Able to work as part of team. Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Hold and retain competencies relevant to this post, required by business need. Ideally hold (or be working towards) and NVQ level 1 (or equivalent) in a related subject. Able and willing to drive various as required by business need. Able to operate mechanised lifting equipment.
