Job description
With a resident centered culture, the Security Officer is responsible for monitoring all areas of The Village at Heritage Point in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents, families, visitors and employees. Monitors parking facilities, and pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Performs within the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the department and The Village at Heritage Point.
With a resident centered culture, the driver provides transportation services for community residents to designated appointments and outings. Provides delivery and pick-up services as needed. Interacts with resident in a variety of ways and settings.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: One year experience as a driver preferred. Ability to safely operate motor vehicle in order to transport residents and provide deliver service. Ability to understand VHP and department policies and procedures and operate departmental equipment; ability normally obtained through on the-job training. Effective communication skills in order to maintain cooperative work relationships. Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Previous experience as a Security Officer is preferred. Ability to comprehend and fulfill requirements related to safety regulations, security procedures, and The Village at Heritage Point policies and procedures acquired though on-the-job training. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Licensure: Valid Driver’s License
