The Role:
Working as part of our Caretaking Team you will work to maintain and enhance the buildings and green space to all estates across the Trafford borough. This will include jet-washing, waste removal, working with power tools, hard/soft landscaping such as grass cutting, spraying for weed suppression and provide cover to our mobile caretakers by undertaking routine cleaning duties of communal areas within tower blocks and low-rise flats.
As a Driver Mentor you will be tasked with leading the local team on site, mentoring volunteers and new staff members from a diverse background, and actively developing the team by giving constructive feedback. You will be responsible for ensuring our customer standards are delivered, time on site is recorded, and that the customers experience of our service is positive. You will be a proactive member of the team, actively learning from customer feedback to improve the service delivery.
The Person:
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Good understanding of relevant health and safety regulations in an Estates environment
- Relevant leadership skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience of using various power tools (full training provided)
- Positive can-do attitude.
- Full, clean driving licence with the ability to drive up to C1 (towing licence would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of COSHH and experience of using mobile devices, such a tablet, is beneficial.

We are a multi-site organisation, so some roles may require occasional travel between offices, but expenses will be covered.
