We are looking for an organized and positive Linehaul Driver who has exceptional customer relation and communication skillsto join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials over long distances
- Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
- Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage temperatures
- Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Administer bills of lading and manually or electronically maintain log books
- Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices
Requirements:
- Class 1 License with clean driver’s abstract is required
- 6 -12 months of previous Class 1 mountain driving experience required
- Previous reefer experience is a definite asset
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Positive attitude and presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under stress
- Must be able to drive at night and be available for various shifts and destinations
- Complies with company procedures, rules and regulations
Compensation:
- $0.65 per mile plus $27.19 per hour for wait/work time
