Are you an HGV Driver looking for something a bit closer to home; tired of driving all over the country? Or are you someone looking for a new challenge or career change? If so and you’re interested in operating mobile plant machinery we believe we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Working for the largest independent construction materials business in the UK and Ireland, you’ll be provided with real, practical experience and mentoring by industry experts, plus full training in variety of mobile plant machinery.
Working with our fantastic operations teams, you’ll primarily be driving a flatbed rigid lorry based from our Cwt Y Bugail Quarry, transporting slate products to our distribution hubs in Blaenau Ffestiniog and Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda. There will also be the opportunity to turn your hand to operating other mobile plant and a variety of other jobs in the quarry.
You’ll be an ideal fit for this position if you have a great sense of humour and don’t mind getting your hands dirty!
Do you have…?
A full UK Driving Licence – owing to the location of the quarry you will need to be able to drive your own vehicle or otherwise be able to reliably get yourself to work on time.- A HGV licence
- Current certification or experience of operating Wheeled Loaders and Counterbalance FLT’s.
We’ll also support your development with in-role training; whereby you will achieve a Level 2 Plant Operations NVQ diploma qualification.
