Job description

Blue Arrow are recruiting Class2 Drivers for our contract based in Dagenham. We have immediate starts for this contract, job details as below:
The role includes:
  • Multi drop deliveries, approx. 10 to 30 drops per day.

  • Start times are between 00.00 and 03:00 AM.
  • Drivers are expected to follow the route order - some calls may seem out of sequence; this is normally due to noise restrictions on some deliveries.
  • Drivers are expected to achieve 90% of calls delivered on time.
  • We deliver in and around the South-East, and go out to Oxford in the West, up as far as Milton Keynes, all of Kent, and down to Brighton.
  • The driver will be allocated a bay, once the vehicles is on the bay a member of the warehouse team AND the driver will retrieve the product from the warehouse and wheel it to the bay ready for the driver to load the vehicle.
  • The bread is stacked in bread baskets and transferred onto wheels by the driver who has wheels on the vehicle. The driver will have a hook to load and unload and manoeuvre the bread baskets.
  • Drivers are expected to collect all empty baskets from stores to return to Hovis Dagenham which are then sent to the bakery plants to continue the supply chain.

You must have:
  • HGV2 license,
  • Digital Tachograph Card,
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • The ability to complete paperwork in an orderly fashion.
  • Held your licence for 2 Months plus.

Salary:
Monday to Friday £17.81 Per hour
Saturday and Sunday £20.11 per hour
