JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
Job Title: Carer
Reports to: Senior Carer/Team Leader
▪ To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards
Job Overview: To work under the direction of the Senior Carer and support clients in the Sandwell community area. Upon successful application for this role you will be expected to carry out tasks such as Personal care, light house work, Medication and supporting service users in the community. You will be working within clients homes and will be responsable for getting to and from their homes.
The successfull candidate will be given full Training to preform this role so experiance is not essential but desirable.
The successful candidate will be expected to undergo an enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities and Duties of the Job
▪ Ensure Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
▪ To contribute to the efficient running of the service
▪ Support Service Users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
▪ Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support
Duties: Service Users are followed
▪ Be responsible for informing the Senior Carer of any changes in the needs of Service Users
▪ Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
▪ Develop effective working relationships with other employees within Inn
Care; Working within cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary Team
▪ Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
▪ Be a role model for other cares and be an ambassador for
Example: the service Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times
▪ Knowledge of, and work within, the Fundamental Standards
▪ Understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of CQC and their requirements

Specific Requirement for Qualifications Essential
Good English
Ability to commuite around the Sandwell area
Specific Requirement for Skills Desirable
Previous experience working in a similar role
RQF qualifications in Social Care
Driver with own car
Proficient Written Skills
Maintain all Care Plans/care records in accordance with Inn
Care policy
Leadership Skills
Ability to induct and orientate new employees to the job role and service
Provide Service Users with support/assistance. daily tasks including:
bathing, eating, dressing, grooming and personal care
Communication Skills
Carers must build rapport with Service Users by establishing personal connections and showing interest in their lives.
Carers must be able to communicate effectively
With Service Users. Carers must have the communication skills to inform colleagues, management and professionals about the needs of Service Users

Salary: £9.50-£10.50 per hour
