Rate of pay: £11.00 per hour
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday
About our service
We are a 6-bedroom home which provides accommodation with nursing and personal care for adults with autism and learning disabilities. We have comfortable lounges and dining areas facing the garden which contains a patio area and specially adapted swings for adults.
The role
You will ensure that all areas of our home are clean, tidy, presentable and smell fresh thereby guaranteeing the comfort and well-being of the people we support in accordance with cleaning schedules.
Key responsibilities:
- Clean the residents’ rooms, bathrooms, communal bathrooms and toilets and all public areas in the home.
- Manage the company’s resources efficiently, to minimise loss and prevent wastage of supplies.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and stored properly. Ensure that the utility and storage rooms are clean and in an orderly condition.
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors as appropriate. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and curtains. Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Make sure the housekeeping trolley is clean, tidy and well stocked with all items and equipment required to clean the home.
- Report all maintenance and safety hazards and withdraw faulty equipment from use immediately.
- Empty rubbish bins regularly and transported rubbish to the disposal area.
- Ensure statutory and company requirements in terms of Health and Safety and COSHH are upheld at all times.
About you
It is essential you have previous experience cleaning experience and have a high level of attention-to-detail. In addition, you be able to show a desire to deliver the best possible service to the people we support.
