About the role
As part of a friendly team led by the Head Housekeeper, you’ll be responsible for carrying out all cleaning duties. You’ll make sure daily and deep cleaning tasks are carried out to a high standard, complying with infection control guidelines. It’s important that you respect the privacy and individual needs of our residents. You’ll also need to be comfortable doing some paperwork and re-stocking cleaning supplies as required. It’s a rewarding role and a supportive workplace where we all pull together.
About you
You may or may not have worked in a care home before but it is important to us that you are a caring, positive person with a strong attention to detail whilst taking pride in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our residents as well as families and visitors. You also know about health and safety regulations. You’re a good team player – polite, presentable and mindful of older people’s privacy. Opened in September 2018, Buchanan Court is a purpose-built care home situated on Sudbury Hill in Harrow. The 80-bed home is light, contemporary and luxurious, offering the best in nursing, residential, dementia and short-term respite care. The home has a wide range of care services for our residents to continue to enjoy a fantastic lifestyle when they move in such as its own hair salon, coffee shop and cinema room, all they need are the right team of people to work closely with them and their families to develop personalised care plans that take into account each person’s experiences, interests and preferences – we find out about everything from what they do and don’t enjoy doing to the times they like to get up and go to bed.
