We're a vibrant, growing organisation dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need, and we're searching for a unique and confident individual ready to become team leader and embark on a fast-track learning adventure in dog training and rehabilitation.

No prior professional experience with dogs? No problem! We're looking for someone who's eager, willing, and passionate about diving headfirst into dog behaviour and care. All we ask is that you're committed to be all in and are naturally instinctive with dogs.

As our Team Leader, you'll be: A confident communicator, both in person and on camera, a shining beacon of positivity with a can do attitude, a mature, steady, and open-minded individual with a zest for life.

You'll need to be:

1. Experienced in a leadership role.

2. A go-to for all our team when they require direction.

3. Able to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

4. Emotionally intelligent and in touch with your team's needs.

5. Empathetic, approachable, and people-focused.

6. Solution-focused and calm under pressure.

7. Able to be both big picture and detailed.

8. Willing to learn and go on a fast track learning scheme on dog training and rehabilitation.

9. The owner of a super positive mindset and a passion for personal growth and upgrade.

10. Genuinely willing to go the extra mile.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Lead a team of staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the rescue and the day-to-day at the kennels.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working environment for staff members, promoting teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the recruitment process and oversee the onboarding, and performance management of team members, working closely with the directors.
  • Support and help implement training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in dog training and rehabilitation, working with our head trainer.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure that dogs are receiving the highest quality care.
  • Communicate effectively and confidently with team members and the public, both in person and on camera for social media.
  • Be responsible for the Health and Safety compliance of the operation together with the directors.
  • Ensure that all rescue activities are carried out in compliance with the organisation’s operating rules.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dogs in the rescue, including their medical history, behaviour assessments, and adoption status.
  • Take the lead on vet checks for the more behaviourally challenged dogs.
  • Report daily to the directors.

We are not just looking for a Team Leader; we are searching for the ultimate champion of our mission to rescue and rehabilitate dogs in need.

If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.
