Job description
JOB SUMMARY
Vanity Fur Dog Daycare and Spa are looking for a special person to join our friendly team with the day to day running of the dog daycare, which includes handling dogs, and providing enrichment programmes with a high standard of cleaning.
· We require a keen, confident, and enthusiastic person to join us, who can work as part of a team and have initiative to work on their own whilst prioritising tasks.
· Supervision, control, and management of all dogs in daycare and ensuring their welfare and safety.
· Basic knowledge of dog behaviour, dog breeds and animal first aid.
· Cleaning up after the dogs throughout the day.
· Feeding the dogs.
· Completion of all daily tasks and associated paperwork.
· Cleaning of all the indoor arenas, reception, play equipment's and other areas of the facility.
· Maintaining excellent relationships with the customers, including feedback at the end of every day.
· Supporting the development of social media
· Opening and closing procedures
SKILLS NEEDED
· Must be confident with working with large groups of dogs of various breeds and sizes.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Punctual, reliable and flexible (Must be available between opening hours of 7am-6pm).
· Willing to learn and forward thinking.
· Happy to be on your feet and be energic to work with the dogs as this is a physically demanding job.
· Must be enthusiastic and a team player.
QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRABLE):
· Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care or above
· Experience in animal industry
Further training will be given to support both the staff and the dogs.
WORKING HOURS
To be confirmed following interview, however must be available to work between 7am- 6pm Monday to Friday as shifts may vary.
HOURLY RATE
National minimum wage
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
