We are seeking a dispute resolution/litigation lawyer to join the Practical Law Dispute Resolution team in the UK.

Practical Law is a leading online know-how service providing rigorous, peer-reviewed resources, including practice notes, current awareness and standard documents to help legal professionals work more efficiently and advise with confidence. About the Role

In this opportunity as a Legal Editor in Practical Law Dispute Resolution, you will use your specialist legal knowledge of dispute resolution/civil litigation to provide and maintain a wide range of content. Working in a supportive team of highly experienced colleagues, you will deal with a breadth of interesting legal and editorial work including:

  • Researching, drafting and editing legal know-how resources for Practical Law's online products and services
  • Developing new content ideas for the Dispute Resolution practice area, including practice notes, standard documents and clauses, checklists, comparative charts, and other dispute resolution-focused resources
  • Commissioning, reviewing, and editing content written internally and externally
  • Writing, editing, and publishing current awareness resources
  • Completing regular maintenance on core legal know-how resources
  • Monitoring legal practice and market developments in litigation
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with external law firm contributors, customers and industry experts, to maintain and build understanding of the latest developments and trends in law and practice
  • Responding to customer inquiries.

In addition to this, a Legal Editor will assist:

  • With marketing the Practical Law Dispute Resolution practice area.
  • The wider Thomson Reuters team (including Sweet & Maxwell, Lawtel and Westlaw), liaising with sales, marketing product management, technology and segment functions where necessary

About You

You're a fit for the role of Legal Editor if your background includes:

  • At least two years’ post qualification experience of litigation
  • An understanding of current market issues and proposals affecting litigation and civil procedure
  • Analytical and research skills and the ability to identify key issues
  • A demonstrable interest and ability in writing
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
