If your answer is yes, then this could be the role for you as we are currently seeking individuals who have interview and recruitment experience to join our Recruitment Support Team.
Our Recruitment Support Officers are responsible for managing the interview and pipeline engagement stages of the recruitment process and are pivotal in finding the best talent to join the organization while driving an exceptional candidate experience for our volume Customer Service roles across HSBC UK Contact Centres and Branch Network.
Your Principal Responsibilities:
- Setting candidates up for success by conducting interview activities including capability-based assessments both face to face and on zoom.
- Role Modelling HSBC as a great place to work. Understanding your impact in selecting the right people to work for HSBC to serve our customers.
- Making interview-based decisions and communicating outcomes to candidates. Supporting those who have failed and using time as an opportunity to coach and develop the candidate for success with HSBC in the future.
- Verification of right to work documentation in line with policies and procedures.
- Tracking and auditing both internal and external candidates to ensure new starters join the business in a timely manner.
- Maximising candidate retention while following recruitment policies and procedures including adherence to business requirements around legislation and identification procedures.
- Working closely with other teams and third-party providers to provide the optimum recruitment experience to all prospective new joiners.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Attending open days, careers fairs and universities representing HSBC and promoting opportunities.
- Supporting the Recruitment Support Manager to deliver key attraction and recruitment test and learn projects which facilitate new and exciting ways to recruit people to work for HSBC.
When and where you will work:
This is a hybrid role with a base location of Hamilton, hybrid gives you the flexibility to work between home and the office, our expectation is that 60% of your working week (3 days a week) will be spent in the office which will be defined by your manager.
When working from home you must have a safe and secure home working environment, which is free from the interruptions of day-to-day life and have a minimum fibre broadband internet connection of 10Mpbs. Our team primarily work between the hours of Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, however we work the occasional evening and/or weekend based on recruitment demand plans and candidate availability.
As the team interview across the UK, we are looking for someone who is flexible and able to travel, this may include overnight stays away from home (Approximately 2 nights a week depending on location and business need) any additional costs will be reimbursed in line with the HSBC expense policy.

- Previous volume recruitment/interview experience is essential for the role.

- Excellent communication skills, someone who can confidently communicate complex information to diverse audiences.

- Be able to travel (UK Only) and work flexibly - working the occasional evening and weekend in line with recruitment demand.
