The role
We are currently recruiting for Distribution Operatives to join our friendly team at Wavin Limited, Chippenham.
Reporting to the Distribution Team Leader, the Distribution Operative will provide picking, packing, loading and unloading services and adhere to all health and safety standards and policies for the site.
The position holder will work positively within a team environment and will need to develop good working relationships with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Able to drive MHE and pick pack product to the required standard as per requests. Load and unload transport vehicles as requested to Wavin safe load.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Policy and procedures and that all work is undertaken to the appropriate standards.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Chippenham S&D improvement plans.
- Meet minimum performance standards.
- Where identified and/or necessary, be prepared to undertake training and work in other operational departments to improve and increase skill levels.
Profile
- Previous experience within a Distribution environment is required.
- Forklift Truck trained would be advantageous, however onsite training is provided.
- A good degree of physical fitness to meet the manual demands of the position.
- Ability to work positively within a team and form good working relationships with other team members is essential.
- Ability to plan and organise own activities to meet the needs of the business within allocated time.
- Flexible and adaptable work ethic.
- Health and Safety Level 1 responsibility statement.
- Willingness to embrace change and improve processes as systems develop is key.
