Job description
Job Overview
- Lead a team of Warehouse operatives, including managing training requirements for the team and shift rota coordination
- Maintain high standards of service continuity to ensure prompt delivery and collection of raw materials and finished products between B13 Warehouse and B2 production areas
- Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the individual at regular intervals in order to meet changing operational needs of the business
Main Duties
- All activities conducted as part of this service will be carried out in line with the GSK procedures and policies that apply. The main activities are covered in GSK SOP MSP1313: Trailer Service Production Unitsand must be adhered to at all times
- Ensure full compliance to GXP operating standards of cleaning, PPE, paperwork and conduct where applicable. To comply with GSK and Mitie PSOPs for standard working practices
- Ensure good standards of housekeeping in all areas used by the Distribution and Logistics team
- Report all damage and maintenance required on equipment to GSK immediately to avoid service disruption. To report any non-conformances to Mitie line management
What we are looking for
- Complete and manage team shift rota
- Arrange and provide cover for team holiday/sickness
- Manage team performance review process
- Escalate any individual or team issues to Mitie Soft Services Manager and carry out any investigations into HR issues within the team
- Investigate any deviations from GSK or Mitie onsite relating to the Distribution and Logistics service
- Review annually, and where applicable, write Mitie RAMS for Distribution and Logistics service
- Deliver scheduled and ad hoc Mitie Tool Box Talks to team
- Monitor team overtime and send overtime timesheets to Admin for processing
- Monitor individual and team GSK myLearning and Mitie Learning Hub training requirements and ensure 100% compliance to KPI
- Liaise with GSK SMEs and Mitie Training Coordinator to ensure team are assigned the correct training requirements for their role
- Contact point between Distribution and Logistics service and client, maintaining a professional relationship throughout
- Report and where possible, take action on client complaints or compliments
- Carry out any other reasonable requests
- Encourage continuous networking and liaison throughout each shift to ensure the needs of GSK are met in respective areas
- Attend daily Comms calls and use as a vehicle to progress service levels
