Apprentice Distiller
Minimum apprentice wage - Part time/ Full time
Established in 2019 Cardiff Distillery has quickly become one of the outstanding distilleries based in Wales and indeed the UK, taking a modern approach to other UK distilleries. We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Distiller to join our fast-growing business. This is an opportunity to grow your future career with an ambitious Welsh company.
The assistant distiller will help our team of distillers in the daily production of spirits at the distillery:
- Distilling
- Reading hydrometers
- Pumping flammable liquids (remaining conscious of safety at all times)
- Measuring pH
- Calculating the amount of alcohol in a tank
- Warehousing / Goods-In
- Confirming quality of all goods in and adherence to raw materials stock control
- Internal duty suspended movements such as barrel filling and storage
- Potential future forklift training
- Quality control including distilling, bottling and duty records keeping
- Bottling
- Other duties if and when required

Being a relatively small team, the candidate has the potential to have a long career with Cardiff Distillery developing within the warehousing environment or learning other elements of the business.

Part-time hours: 32-40 per week
Salary: From £10,004.80 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Bonus scheme
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cardiff, Cardiff: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
