Sociology & Social Policy
The School of Sociology and Social Policy is a vibrant, diverse and exciting centre for social science teaching and research. We are a multidisciplinary School covering Criminology, Public Policy and Administration, Social Policy, Social Work and Sociology.
As the School enters a period of growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic scholar to contribute to our growing team working in Social and Public Policy. The successful applicant will make a significant contribution to dissertation supervision in the School, supporting excellent student engagement and learning.
We welcome applications from candidates with interests in any area of Public and Social Policy, and experience in the delivery of educational programmes at postgraduate level.

This is a fixed-term, part-time (average 6.25 hours/week) opportunity available from 20 March 2023 until 31 October 2023.
You will work a non-standard pattern across the 7 months:
Supervisions will take place from late March through August, normally up to 8 hours per student. This will be less than 6.25 hours a week, on average.
Dissertation Marking will take place throughout September and October, with 10 dissertations to second mark (those that you supervise) and 10 further to first mark. This will be more than 6.25 hours a week, on average.
