Load Boss Logistics is a family owned and operated business. We are actively seeking a dispatcher to join our family and expand our growth. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to grow with our company, assist in the growth and has viable contacts to do so.

Position: Permanent full-time

Wage: Based on experience

Experience:

• Must have Produce dispatch experience
• Utilization of transportation software and websites such as Load Link and Border connect an asset

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Positive attitude
• Personable with co-workers, customers, and drivers
• Great people/sales skills
• Valid driver's license with own transportation
• Flexible work schedule as afterhours calls are required
• Knowledge of current "Hours of Service" laws and MTO/DOT rules and regulations

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all trucks are loaded, processed, and dispatched in a timely manner
• Set up efficient routes to meet time constraints
• Dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver loads in accordance with customer and production schedules
• Communicate with drivers about upcoming schedules
• Distribute proper invoices and paperwork to each driver or delivery route
• Respond to customer calls quickly and efficiently
• Maintain high compliance to dispatch standards and operating procedures
• Assist drivers with any arising issues or questions
• Work closely with operations to ensure quality of service to customers
• Deal with all aspects of customs clearance
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks
• Prioritizing and organizing work to accomplish daily tasks efficiently
• Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships
• Monitoring the status of drivers and loads
• Provide customer service in respect to changes on loads and scheduling

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $15.50 per hour
