About the Role:
We are recruiting for a skilled maintenance worker who specialises in dishwashers & icemachines to join our current team of four.
You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment or completing preventative maintenance where required. It will be your responsibility to complete the relevant repairs and ongoing maintenance across our 46 Costa Coffee Stores, and 4 Kaspa's Desserts stores; so having a broad range of practical skills and capabilities will prove useful.
On-call work is sometimes required.
Hours: 40/45 hours per week (negotiable) including early starts and availability on Saturdays.
Must have a full, clean driving license in order to be successful for this role as it requires travel to Kent and Sussex.
Office to report to is in Gravesend, Kent.
Responsibilities:
- Have a comprehensive understanding of how ice machines and dishwashers work, and how to fix them;
- Be able to troubleshoot machine breakdowns, and complete repair;
- Liaising with Head Office to order parts required to repair existing machines;
- Perform preventative maintenance and servicing on icemachines and dishwashers to extend the life of machines and reduce breakdowns;
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and machines within the warehouse;
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls as required etc;
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment and systems (Dishwashers, Ice machines, fridges etc.);
- Install appliances and equipment;
- Conduct general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs; unblocking pipes; dealing with leaks etc; and
- Report to Head Office to work through maintenance list based on business priorities
