Background
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and creative disability professional to work with disabled students by ensuring support is in place and students have a good experience.
We would love to hear from you if you are an experienced Disability Adviser and have experience of working with students with a wide range of conditions such as: Learning difference, Neurodiverse conditions, physical disabilities, and sensory conditions.
The successful candidate will work closely with the other members of the Disability Team as well as the other teams within the Student Wellbeing Service. It will be essential that the Disability Adviser works with academic staff and other internal departments such as Accommodation to ensure the student experience is a good one.
The Person
You will be qualified to degree level and be able to demonstrate experience of working with students directly, preferably within a HE environment. It is essential that you have experience of working with disabled students with various conditions such as learning difference, sensory conditions, neurodiverse conditions. Good communication and mediation skills are important for this role.
