About the Role

This role will be based in a Hybrid/remote working capacity, and we are fully supportive of flexible working arrangements.

As a Key Account Director you will be acting as the customers “trusted advisor” in one of Siemens largest and most strategic UK accounts. By building relationships at multiple levels and implementing a customer success plan you will be guiding our client to achieve strategically critical business objectives. Our customer is one of the world’s leading Defence companies focused on advanced, innovative, and high value platform development and manufacturing.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong leadership abilities. You must also be able to multitask and prioritize effectively, as well as work well under pressure. A background as a project management, business / client partner manager or business development for a system integrator or authority would be beneficial.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Demonstrating a clear understanding of the customer business drivers and challenges enabling the delivery of annual revenue growth aligned with sales targets. All this achieved by having a clear business plan that is agreed with the customer and executed with the relevant internal resources.
  • Being a trusted advisor to the customer – providing expertise, consensus, and guidance throughout the programme with customers business success at the heart of everything you do.
  • Building trust, respect, and effective relationships with the customer to understand and alleviate problems, manage expectations, and enable understanding of the proposed solutions benefits and value.
  • Communicate effectively at all customer levels, to demonstrate technology and business solutions across a multi-disciplined of stakeholders, such as users, managers, Directors, and C – level executives.

Your Qualifications & Experience

  • A strong ability to organize a team around a business plan and execute strategic messaging around agreed initiatives.
  • Ability to foster relationships at C-Level to become a trusted business advisor.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive constructive tension when necessary.
