The Real Estate team is responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects across the multiple geographies, mainly UK but supporting Switzerland, North & South Europe and part of the Middle East. The team is responsible for delivering a portfolio of Real Estate for Deloitte practitioners to operate from, and covers end-to end services from acquisition, through design, delivery and disposal.
Within that Real Estate Team there is a Controlling PMO function that operationally steers four Workstreams (Estate Management, Workplace Strategy, Capital Project Delivery and Change & Communications). Working with the UK Head of Real Estate the PMO provides strategic direction, oversight and project support. It is responsible for consistency and standards of Programme and Project Management across all Real Estate activity.
The Director of Real Estate Project Management Office is a senior leadership role within the internal Real Estate Team. The role is responsible for structuring the PMO function, including recruitment, overseeing BAU activity, and ongoing delivery of new property. The individual will work very closely with the Head of UK Real Estate and will work closely with Senior Leaders of the business advising on matters such as Real Estate Strategy, in consideration of New Ways of Working and Hybrid.
- Providing direction to PMO function and all roles within it (c.4-5 FTEs), including regional real estate PMO lead, NSE PMO lead and London PMO lead. Managing a diverse team within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
- Ownership of business cases, coordinating input from multiple sources including commercial analysis.
- Drive coordination of ‘business as usual’ (BAU) real estate activity across real estate specialisms and monitoring real estate project pipeline.
- Identification of correct sign off and oversight of development of materials for process for investments (COO/Business Exec).
- Management of internal reporting interfaces and inputs (monthly reporting, change impact assessment process, benefits and milestones).

You’re an experienced corporate real estate and management professional with experience in managing large and complex projects, programmes and teams.- You are able to work under pressure, often in the face of time constraints and competing priorities and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. You are capable of influencing all levels of the organisation and across business units. You demonstrate very strong project and programme management and organisational skills, with significant experience in managing workstreams, and a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to lead complicated projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop, coach and motivate junior members of the team.
- Client focus, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships including C-suite level clients and senior stakeholders across various parts of the business
- It is desirable for you to have a professional qualification (e.g. MICE, MRICS) and an undergraduate degree with strategy and analytical skills (engineering, economics, maths, finance, accounting, etc.) are preferred.

The role ranges from structuring the PMO function, recruitment, overseeing business as usual activity and ongoing delivery of new property. The role will involve working very closely with the Head of UK Real Estate, working with the C-Suite to advise on the future Real Estate Strategy for the Firm in consideration of New Ways of Working and Hybrid.
