Director, Programme Management – 18 month FTC
Overview
Mastercard Prepaid Management Services (MPMS) is the world’s largest prepaid program manager, with a global presence across 20+ markets. MPMS offers end-to-end program management services, including transaction processing, cardholder servicing, fraud monitoring, card and collateral design, card manufacture and card distribution, all supported by a best-in-class technology platform. The MPMS portfolio includes travel cards, gift cards, corporate cards and transit solutions for over 100 customers.

MPMS is in the process of performing a critical migration of it’s underlying payments processing platform, and is looking for a trusted leader to guide the strategy and drive execution for the conversion.

Role:

The Director, Programme Management is a 18 month Fixed Term Contract.
This member will be part of the core programme leadership team, owning one of the most critical pillars for conversion execution.
The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to
  • Determine the overall approach and strategy for the conversion that minimizes cardholder impact
  • Identify the scope of the MPMS portfolio that will be migrated to the new payments processor
  • Identify the data domains across all business and technical areas to be migrated, and provide governance over the data mapping and validation process
  • Build a robust conversion playbook that addresses the role each business and technology stakeholder needs to play
  • Ensure operational readiness of the business through a series of dress rehearsals, and facilitate go/no-go gating for the migration

This role requires the successful candidate to:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with all staff functions in the MPMS business, regional product and account teams, and stakeholders with our current and new processor to create a holistic approach
  • Think consumer-first, but understand how to balance operational and compliance constraints
  • Have a strong operational mindset and a high attention to detail
  • Maintain strong project management discipline, meeting all key milestones and proactively managing risks
  • Have a deep knowledge of payment processing and prepaid issuing space

All About You:
Background preferred in one or more of the following:
  • Project management
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytic and statistical skills
  • Ability to take independent action and be comfortable interacting with varying levels of leadership across the organization, both internal and external
  • Operational planning and execution
  • Strong ability to interact with, influence, and build consensus across a variety of internal business units, external partners and service providers
  • Prior experience in Prepaid program management a plus
  • Prior experience with an issuer processor migration a plus
  • Undergraduate degree required with min 5-7 years of experience. MBA preferred.
