Job description
Initiates and defines project/program vision and high-level strategy for implementation that links to the organization and company goals and strategies; incorporates best practices into the strategy (e.g. PMI best practices of Integration, Scope, Time, Quality, Communication, Risk and Procurement Management).
Essential Functions
- Manages and supports the programs/projects for one or more product portfolios (e.g. Roadmaps) to include technical initiatives
- Help define PMO/delivery standards (e.g. delivery methodology operational structure and norms, roles and responsibilities, compliance).
- Identifies risks to project success and creates mitigation plans; defines and tracks portfolio performance indicators and metrics for project success.
- Identifies and establishes partnerships with stakeholders to build support, secure sponsorship and ensure alignment for project outcomes, end products and/or solutions.
- Leads change management by identifying impacts of the project, building awareness and support for change within the organization and contributing to development of training.
- Evaluates project progress and results against project objectives; creates or reengineers processes, resources and/or structure to improve productivity and overall project outcomes.
- Manage a small team of project managers to include quarterly/yearly evaluations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
