Job Title: Operations Director

Salary: Circa. £90,000 00 Basic, Company Car, Phone, Laptop, Company Pension Scheme, 25 Days Holiday, Life Assurance, Private Medical Healthcare.

Job Description:

Are you an experienced and strategic operations leader with a deep understanding of the construction equipment sector? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a well-established rental business with a strong overseas backing, who are looking for an Operations Director to join their team.

This is a key leadership role where you’ll be responsible for driving operational excellence and contributing to the continued success of the business. You will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution of the operational activities. With a focus on driving efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction, you will lead a dedicated team and collaborate with stakeholders to elevate operational performance to new heights.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise operational efficiency, streamline processes, and drive profitability in line with the company's objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of rental operations, including fleet management, inventory control, scheduling, and logistics, ensuring smooth and timely equipment delivery and return.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team, including the overseeing of the service activities, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to identify opportunities for cost optimisation, process enhancements, and service level improvements.
• Implement robust safety protocols and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and maintaining a safe working environment for employees and customers.
• Manage administrative, legal, and social interfaces.

Requirements of Role:

• Proven experience in a Senior Operations leadership role within the Plant Hire, Crane Hire, Powered Access, Material Handling, Tool Hire, or Construction Equipment Rental sectors.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrated track record of driving operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and customer satisfaction.
• Hold a UK Driving Licence
