JOB SUMMARY
The
DOVE Lead will organize, manage, optimize, and coordinate all activities in the
area of Data Management and Data Governance (DOVE). This includes driving a
foundational data-focused business culture and standing up a formal data
governance operating model, which addresses data standards development &
implementation, mechanisms for monitoring confidence in data lineage &
content reliability, enforcement of quality & compliance expectations, etc.)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Define, implement, and maintain a Data Governance Operating Model that
documents DOVE roles & responsibilities, enforcement authority, and
escalation processes for all data domains
- Collaborate with other DOVE Forum Leads in the oversight of workstreams, directing the operational activities of tactical working teams, business domain
- Lead efforts to define data standards operating principles, standards development policies & procedures, and ongoing data monitoring practices to achieve the required level of consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall business needs
- Build and maintain a long-term prioritized project roadmap to drive adoption of IDMP as our core foundational data standards, and to address any gaps or other systems and business process needs
- Document and maintain a technical network map that articulates the interconnectivity of key data flows across systems and business processes
- Define Data Governance measures of success, measures of data maturity and monitor, track & report results
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and other Data Forums or Data Council’s to ensure alignment on scope, standards, principles, and approach of service delivery for Data Governance across the enterprise
- Engage with DOVE leadership council and executive sponsors as needed to secure support, budget and resources
- Define and implement a Data Governance Framework for maintaining control of data within all respective data regulations
Candidate
demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities
including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop, and
coach others, oversee, and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve
meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in life sciences, data analytics, or information management/technology required. MBA or MS Computer Science desirable.
- 15+ Years’ experience with technology deployments and user requirement development/testing in Global Regulatory Affairs or life sciences required.
- 5+ Years’ experience with Data Standards, Data Management, Data Analytics, Quality Management, or Data Governance
- Proven experience with one or more industry standards development engagement (e.g. ICH, CDISC, IDMP, Pistoia Alliance, etc.)
