We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Director, Business Intelligence. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic insights and analysis to drive informed decision-making across our media organization. Your deep understanding of the media economy, proficiency in data analysis, and ability to extract valuable insights from global data sets will be crucial to success. This is a global role that requires forecasting trends and analyzing various economic factors to provide accurate projections for advertising spend, media consumption, and other related metrics.
Core Responsibilities:
- Media Economy Expertise: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the media industry landscape, including market trends, industry dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze earnings reports and financial statements of media companies, including SEC filings, to identify key financial indicators and assess the overall financial health of the industry.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize data analysis techniques to extract actionable insights from diverse data sets, including global market data, media consumption trends, GDP, CPI, and other economic indicators.
- Forecasting and Projections: Develop forecasting models to predict future trends in advertising spend, media consumption, and other relevant metrics. Leverage historical data, market research, and economic factors to produce accurate projections for short-term and long-term (2-3 years).
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that effectively communicate key findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Project Management: Lead and oversee business intelligence projects from inception to completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Advertising) is required.
- Proven track record of at least 5+ years in a similar role within the media industry or related field.
- Deep understanding of the media economy, including media platforms, advertising models, revenue streams, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Proficiency in forecasting and trend analysis, with a demonstrated ability to anticipate future market trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
