Overview


As Digital Stakeholder Engagement Strategist you will be responsible for working with our clients to drive deeper engagement with their stakeholders through digital channels and communications – connecting their business and communications objectives with their stakeholder needs that results in a deeper understanding and builds trust and confidence.

You will therefore have responsibility for developing our strategic digital thinking, blending strategy, creative, content and technologies to drive a continuous improvement in our clients’ digital communications to achieve this goal.


You will also take ownership of working with clients and our in-house expert teams to define their digital strategy, evolve their digital communications and put in place the means through which we can measure stakeholder engagement. You will also spearhead our digital thought leadership and best practice recommendations to ensure we have a continued leadership in digital stakeholder engagement.

The measures of success for this role will be:

  • that clients perceive tangible value from our strategic thinking that evidences deeper stakeholder engagement
  • that we have strategic development plans in place for our digital clients
  • that we drive new revenue streams from both clients and prospective clients.

Responsibilities


  • Strategic client development
  • To take overall responsibility for ensuring that we have strategic digital plans in place for our clients, that share our ideas for digital stakeholder engagement and a roadmap for achieving their objectives
  • To implement a managed rolling programme of client reviews to recalibrate and review the strategic plans
  • To promote and sell in our Digital Stakeholder Engagement services portfolio (such as analytics) to ensure we can prove the positive change in our work
  • Use our analytics capabilities within the research team to deliver incremental revenues and to help frame and inform our strategic recommendations
  • Ensure a good understanding of the different markets we operate in and what is best practice within each market and to share these learnings internally, as well as using to continually advance our advice and guidance
  • Digital strategic services
  • To work with the CTO and Head of Digital Delivery to evolve and improve our suite of strategic services, with a particular focus on ensuring we are able to assess the impact of stakeholder engagement and their communications objectives
  • To work with the teams to sell in our services
  • To work with our Digital Research Analyst on our benchmarking tools and ensure they are continuing to lead the market
  • Business development
  • Take ownership of compiling our analysis and recommendations in pitches to win new business, by working closely with both the client teams and the digital team across the UK and Singapore
  • Commercial
  • Ensure a sustained and profitable revenue stream from our Digital consultancy and strategic services
  • Evidence where possible an ROI through our digital services
  • Reporting Relationships
  • Reporting to: the Chief Digital Officer
  • Work closely with the Head of Digital Delivery, CTO, Client Partners and our Advisory teams.

Qualifications, experience & skills:

The successful candidate will hold:

  • Degree level qualification, preferably within a relevant subject matter
  • Business experience:
  • To have worked in a similar role, ideally within a digital agency, that evidences both strategic thinking and positive outcomes
  • Experience in corporate communications, with listed companies across digital channels such as websites, social and wider digital marketing
  • Technical knowledge:
  • Good knowledge of digital communications and the power of different digital channels
  • Experience of user experience, content and technologies that enable greater engagement
  • Ability to use the Adobe and Microsoft software and experience of working with analytics tools

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills necessary to build trust and respect both externally and internally;
  • A curious mind with a desire to continuously improve
  • Attention to detail and a high-quality service and standards ethic
  • Strong ‘can do’ attitude with an innate ability to take initiative and work by yourself as well as in a team;
