The Role
PwC is looking for a Website & SEO Senior Manager to join our Digital Marketing team and lead the strategy for the marketing section of our UK website (pwc.co.uk). The Digital team seeks to create compelling digital experiences for our clients across channels, leads the firm in the development of digital marketing strategies in support of its business objectives, and uses the right tools and technologies to support our ambitions.
The Digital Marketing team collaborates with internal teams such as Corporate Affairs (policy and communication), Digital Brand Strategy, Creative, Content Development and Campaign Management to develop the right digital experiences and approaches. The role will also work closely with a small group of digital agencies for website development and SEO.
This role reports to the Head of Digital and will have one Senior Associate level direct report, as well as leading cross-functional teams where necessary.
Sales and Marketing is a centralised support function and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support, and business development. The prime area of focus for the function is to support the development and implementation of the firm’s market strategy and in particular to deliver:

Responsibilities
The Website & SEO Senior Manager will be responsible for:

The creation and implementation of the website and SEO strategy for our marketing section of the website including key aspects such as:
- Building and testing personas, understanding the role of the website site in the digital client journey
- Instilling best practice for testing and optimisation into the web team. Utilising the appropriate user testing tools for monitoring and improving the web journey
- Working closely with the Digital Brand Strategy Lead and Corporate Affairs to drive UX and brand consistency and excellence throughout the website
- Working with our Global team to devise and develop new templates and components; feed into requirements and help prioritise the Global rollout of new functionality
- Supporting the digital team to improve our processes surrounding the website; briefing in website updates, co-ordinating online assets including creative, content, data capture forms etc.
- Being the digital marketing website lead in the cross-functional team on the overall website strategy (this team includes Corporate Affairs, Integrated Services, Employer Brand, Brand Strategy, Creative and our web developers), collaborating, contributing, and continuously seeking ways to better work together and improve processes
- Managing the web development agency for all marketing-related website updates. Optimising processes and ways of working with the partner agency
- Managing the tools and software we use for web & SEO; conducting keyword research; analysing web trends; optimisation tools such as Adobe Target
- Working as part of the team to test website personalisation using Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud Personalisation and Interaction Studio
- Developing website and SEO channel strategies for Marketing, best practice and processes and working alongside the Senior Associate to implement these strategies
- Representing the marketing function in any future website migrations
- Supporting the wider Digital Marketing Team with complex Web & SEO projects, sharing knowledge and best practice with the team.
- Keeping abreast of website and SEO trends, legislative developments, and opportunities/innovations (for example, the latest Google algorithm changes or understanding the impact of cookies and tracking technologies on our website experience)
- Reporting on web and search performance of our digital campaigns and at a channel level using a combination of data from Adobe Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud pages and Semrush etc via Marketing Cloud Intelligence (our marketing analytics platform)
Role requirements
Key capabilities the Website & SEO Senior Manager will need include:
- Experience of leading a Website and SEO function in large complex company
- A curiosity to learn new things and challenge ways of working, and help build out processes
- Clear communication skills and stakeholder management experience to aid working with different teams and agencies
- A mind-set which demonstrates a comfort with testing, learning and optimising
- Experience in creating personas, customer journey mapping, wireframes and optimal web page builds
- Experience in Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics would be advantageous
- Experience in using SEO tools and measuring and analysing website and SEO performance data
- Experience of using Customer Data Platforms would be a plus
- Experience in delivering against tight deadlines and executing multiple web pages/projects under pressure
