The role
We're looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to own and optimise the end-to-end performance and effectiveness of our digital marketing channels and campaigns. You will identify content and channel optimisations to be made, ensuring we are achieving our marketing objectives and investing our marketing budget effectively. You’ll own the reporting framework but work closely with the different areas of the business across Virgin Red, the Virgin Group, and agencies for their inputs.

- Direct the development of the marketing reporting , working with the wider business and external media agencies to produce reports and make optimisation recommendations.
- Own the SEO, ASO and web optimisation strategy and implementation, you’ll enable effective onsite marketing to help members discover and experience our platform, plus products that will enhance this experience like Refer a Friend. Through on platform testing and optimisation, you’ll be able to learn and scale the business by understanding what really works.
- Create a testing backlog and have oversight of how marketing channels can effectively deliver these tests, along with optimisations across our campaigns and product to help us convert and grow awareness of Virgin Red and membership.
- Partner with internal teams to update the CMS (content management system) for platform content.
- Work with the marketing channel owners to develop a test and learn strategy on all digital activity.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure product and analytics technical integration are prioritised, implementing tagging and tracking for all marketing activity.
- Develop measurement frameworks with appropriate Key performance indicators and report back on platform performance.
- Recognise emerging trends, opportunities and threats from changes in Search, Social and the wider digital analytics landscape, plus identify new platforms and opportunities for digital paid media as they arise.
What you’ll need
- Experience in creating SEO strategies and working with stakeholders to implement recommendations.
- Extensive digital analytics experience using Google Analytics, Brand or similar Analytics tools.
- Experience in advertising analysis including PPC, Programmatic display and Social
- Base knowledge of the regulatory framework regarding how and where digital data is collected and permission by users.
- Understanding of JavaScript, CSS and HTML
- Advanced knowledge of reporting (Excel, Tableau) and designing customer facing dashboards (Google Data Studio, geckoboard, SEMRush, Tableau etc.)
- A deep passion for consumer behaviour and how digital interacts with the customer journey.
- To be assured in presenting, influencing, and selling your ideas to stakeholders across the business.
