Job description
Growth HQ is a fast-growing, innovative performance partnerships agency working with startups and scale-ups in fintech, retail, health, and everything in between. We pride ourselves on going way beyond traditional affiliate marketing (i.e. vouchers & cashback), with our clients being impressed by the true incremental value our growing partner network adds to their business. We are not a traditional agency! We genuinely care about adding value/growth to our client’s businesses and we position ourselves as an extension of our client’s teams, becoming an integral part of their business.
We are looking for a self-motivated marketing intern to join our fast-growing Bournemouth or London office. We will fast-track your performance marketing training, to ensure you’ll learn all facets of the affiliate marketing funnel on the job. To date, 75% of our marketing interns have been offered and accepted a full-time position after the initial 6 month contract.
Your role at Growth HQ is multifaceted:
- Prospector - You’ll unlock growth opportunities across multiple client accounts by finding new partners to work with. You will dive into the demographics of the client’s user audience, complete competitor / SEO research, and find the contact information of decision makers on the publishers’ team.
- Outreacher - Once you’ve found the right publishers to work with, you will outreach to get in front of the right people at the prospective partner. The ultimate goal is to get introductory meetings in the diary with a large variety of partners across 10+ verticals (YouTube, Instagram, Bloggers, Paid PR, etc.).
- Deal Closer - In the intro meetings with prospective partners, you will pitch the client's affiliate programme with enthusiasm, learn about the affiliate’s previous campaigns and try to understand the opportunity this partner could bring. You’ll also manage incoming partnership requests.
- Onboarder / Campaign Coordinator - You will onboard new partners to the affiliate network, ensuring they have access to the tracking links and creative assets. You will review campaign content and adhere to clients’ compliance processes. Existing partners will be sent regular campaign one-pagers encouraging them to update and write new content about the clients’ products/services. You’ll look at campaign performance data to understand how this or a new campaign can be improved.
We’d love to meet someone with…
- “Organisational Skills” - you can spin multiple plates at the same time, work in a structured and organised manner, are dedicated to delivering tasks/projects, whilst never losing the overview.
- “Hustle” - you show the initiative to source new potential affiliates and add to the new client pipeline. You have a natural ability to build rapport with others easily, you show persistence when reaching out to new partners, you pitch any brand with passion, and ultimately you close and improve deals.
- “Inquisitive / Quick Learner” - you are eager to learn new skills and are always looking to optimise your and your team’s output. You’re not afraid to ask for and offer a helping hand, you’re a self-starter and you are not afraid to fail as you understand you need to make mistakes to improve/learn.
- “Effective Communication” - you build trust through transparent, friendly, communication (written and verbal), you’re able to summarise and communicate deliverables, achievements, and blockers.
- “Zero EGO” - you are a true team player, happy to roll up your sleeves and jump in whenever needed. You want to join a business where you see yourself as a brand ambassador, feeling passionate about the success of the business and the team you are a part of.
It would be great if you...
- Are based in London (UK) as most of the team work 4 days from the office office and 1 day from home
