What you will be doing
We are seeking 4 proactive and creative Digital Marketing Interns with an interest in website development and content management, for an 8 week project. The ideal candidate will assist our digital marketing team in building and updating website pages and editing content, with a sprinkle of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on experience and grow in the field of digital marketing.
This role will have the potential to join the business on a permanent basis as a “Marketing Assistant”, responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate and support with social media content, ensuring all Business Units are represented on our channels
- Assist with the execution of marketing campaigns and project work, supporting the coordination alongside project leads
- Assist with event planning and organisation
- Support with content development across our website and channels, including editing, proof reading and creating new material
- Manage marketing requests from internal departments, ensuring any ideas or requests are brought to the marketing team and reviewed
- Support in ensuring marketing projects stay on track, by coordinating and chasing stakeholders to ensure actions are completed on time
- Work closely with our external partners to co-ordinate any joint announcements or social activity (Inc. competitions, giveaways, joint campaigns)
Key Responsibilities
Website Development & Maintenance:
- Assist in designing, building and launching new website pages using Sanity
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure website aesthetics are aligned with the brand guidelines
Content Management & Editing:
- Update website content as required, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date
- Edit and proofread website content to ensure clarity, consistency and engagement
SEO Initiatives:
- Implement on-page SEO best practices, such as optimizing meta descriptions, titles and image alt tags
Learning & Development:
- Participate in internal training sessions and workshops related to digital marketing strategies, tools and best practices
- Actively seek feedback to continuously improve and expand skill sets
Essential qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or related field
- Basic understanding of website development and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix, etc.) is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with SEO best practices is desirable but not essential
- Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail
- Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
