Digital Marketing Coordinator
Fairthorne Manor, Botley, SO30 2GH
37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Salary: £22,500 to £23,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

Job Purpose:
As a Digital Marketing and website content specialist, you will drive digital marketing efforts, manage website content, and create visually compelling social media content aligned with the charity's brand and values. You will be part of a small, solution-oriented team, providing responsive digital support and training while assisting with basic tech support.
Proficiency in Adobe software, WordPress, and social media platforms is essential. Your agility, trend awareness, and ability to present and execute ideas will be crucial in this dynamic role. In addition to technical knowledge and attention to detail, effective communication with diverse stakeholders is key. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and collaborate with colleagues from various departments, including Fairthorne Programme, Early Years, Events, Fundraising, and Sales.

While primarily based at Fairthorne Manor, some travel to other YMCA branches in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight may be required with occasional out of hours work.
What you will be doing:
- Adhere to the YMCA Way principles in all activities.
- Day to day responsibility for maintaining the YMCA WordPress site and various social media platforms used across the charity such as uploading blog posts, SEO and content tagging, image sizing, creating graphics etc.
- Develop and execute digital marketing initiatives in alignment with the marketing plan, ensuring seamless integration with traditional marketing efforts.
- Produce high-quality digital content targeted to external and internal audiences, utilising channels such as social media and email in collaboration with service managers and other stakeholders.
- Serve as the charity’s Relationship Manager with Meta, Linked In, Twitter, Wired+, and web developer
- Provide technical support, account management, and training for internal audiences in digital channels.
- Co-ordinate with IT colleagues to minimise downtime and disruptions, while maximising e-commerce accuracy and progress. Be supportive of plans for expansion, technical upgrade, and introduction of new software platforms with strong collaborative working practice.
- Use your graphic design and software skills to create content across the YMCA brand, (for example social media ads and short video content) for promotional purposes and creating assets for advertising campaigns on Meta. Assist colleagues with templated presentations.
- Create and edit photos, videos and graphics of the main programmes and services
- Stay informed about emerging channels, tools, and trends to keep YMCA up to date with all generations
- Collect and review analytics, particularly related to digital engagement, and provide feedback to the senior team
- Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Act in the interests of personal safety & others at all times
- Fulfil any other reasonable requests by the management of the charity.
Qualifications and experience we are looking for:
- Minimum of 12 months digital marketing experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the main social media video platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn for example).
- Ability to understand and correctly follow brand guidelines, as well as creating new designs when briefed.
- Good knowledge of CMS systems, particularly WordPress and associated plug-ins including SEO
- Some HTML and CSS knowledge (complex work is undertaken by external developer)
- Building emails and automated campaign processes including segmenting and testing data from CRM customer platforms (we use Netsuite and Wired+)
- Managing PPC including Google Ads
- Graphic design skills using Adobe Illustrator and Canva
- Photography experience is desirable
- Video creation and simple graphic design edits (Adobe Creative Suite and Canva)
- Experience in service marketing using a range of approaches, adapting communications to different audiences
- Production and interpretation of analytics, able to present data and trends
- Evidence of recent professional development.
