What you'll be doing
As a New Customer Advisor, you will get to make a real difference in customers’ lives every day, supporting our customers to move into their ‘home for good’ with Curo.
Working with our customers, you’ll help to maximise their income by helping them find work or making sure they are claiming the right benefits and minimising any debt or expenditure where you can.
To get a clear understanding of our customers personal situations, assessing their needs to have a successful tenancy with Curo, you’ll meet with them, managing the appointments by phone or visiting them.
You’ll also be meeting with third parties and stakeholders to raise the profile and support the Passport to Housing service as well as promote an understanding of maximising customers income to colleagues to help them better support our customers.
Please note: This role is internally known as ‘Money & New Customer Advisor’
More about you
You will:
- Have knowledge of benefits, debt advice and budgeting and be confident explaining to customers the rights and responsibilities that come with having a Curo tenancy.
- Be passionate about ensuring customers have happy, successful tenancies and driven to get money in customer’s pockets.
- Enjoy building effective working relationships with colleagues, helping to embed an understanding of the benefit system, debt and financial capability across the business.
- Create positive, beneficial and effective working relationships with stakeholders such as Local Authorities, support providers, charities and advice agencies in our areas of operation.
- Have great communication and negotiation skills with a diplomatic attitude, and the ability to relate to a diverse range of people.
- Be highly organised with a methodical approach allowing you to work accurately under pressure and can prioritise a busy workload and work to tight deadlines.
A full, valid UK driver’s license and understanding of welfare benefits and money advise is essential for this role.
We may need to take up an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check for this role which we will do for you when you start.
You will be able to work flexibly, Monday to Friday, based on our customers’ needs. You will be responsible for organising your own workload and setting your diary appointments.
Your base will be in our head office at The Maltings, Lower Bristol Road, Bath but the role will include some home working.
