Job Title: Digital Marketing Lead
Reporting to: Head of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications
Salary: FTE £26,357.00 - £32,020.00 per annum
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours (requests for part time hours will be considered)
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time or Part Time
Location: Sage House, Tangmere, PO20 2FP
Position Overview:
We are looking for someone to lead the development of the charity’s digital marketing and work collaboratively to implement our new 3-year Fundraising and Marketing strategy. Over the past year we have seen rapid growth in our digital presence and are looking for someone who build on our established foundations. You will be a dynamic marketer with the ability to turn strategy into action.
This role will work within a small marketing team, alongside a Design Lead and a Marketing Coordinator. You will be responsible for implementing our digital marketing strategy for fundraising and our services, helping grow the charity’s income, raise awareness for our work and connect with our audience in a targeted, personalised and dynamic way.
The post holder will work closely with the fundraising team, creating engaging, optimised, multi-channel digital journeys to grow income across all streams. They will develop innovative digital marketing campaigns and appeals to inspire action from new and existing supporters. They will also work with the operational team to market our services and to support activities and events for our customers and carers.
Dementia Support is a growing charity and we have big plans to support people living with Dementia in an unprecedented way. As a young local Charity based in Tangmere near Chichester, we deliver a wide range of vital services under one roof at Sage House, providing the latest support, information, advice, activities, and care for people living with Dementia and memory loss.

Responsibilities
This job description is a summary of the main responsibilities of the post and duties may change and vary from time to time to meet the needs of the charity and its customers. Responsibilities will include those listed below:
- Implement digital marketing and communications plans to support the growth of fundraising income across all streams and increase the awareness of dementia, the Charity and our services.
- Develop and implement digital customer journeys across multiple channels to increase conversion and generate fundraising revenue.
- Manage the creation and distribution of content and materials including social media, e-newsletters, website and on-line fundraising news.
- Create and implemented targeted email journeys for segmented audience groups to improve donor and customer experience.
- Develop social media strategies to grow our social reach and engagement, including paid social.
- Manage and optimise the charity website (Wix) including reviewing and updating content and utilising SEO to increase traffic.
- Provide monthly reporting to monitor and evaluate success of digital marketing activity
- Ensure all our external messaging and branding is consistent with our organisational strategy and brand guidelines.
- Understand and remain up to date and compliant with all relevant legislation attaining to this position, including organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct.
- Participate constructively in induction, regular supervision, appraisal and relevant training. To contribute positively to continuous improvement of services

- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role that may be required and are appropriate to the post, as requested by the Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications or the Chief Executive.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong project management and organisational skills and able to manage multiple workstreams.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and digital customer journeys
- Able to implement strategy and monitor performance using analytics
- Good attention to detail in all aspects of work e.g. spelling and grammar etc.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence to get results.
- Be able to work well in a team and on your own initiative.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience of managing marketing campaigns and activities across a range of digital channels
- Experience in managing social media channels for a charity, brand or business- including paid social.
- Experience working with a website CMS and utilising best practise for SEO
- Experience of designing and creating segmented email journeys
- Good understanding of data privacy and General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR).
- Understanding/experience of the Health Sector, Voluntary sector or Social Care preferable.
- Knowledge and a keen interest in dementia, older people’s issues and disability preferable.
